RUMOUR CENTRAL: The Washington Capitals are said to be shopping Alex Semin with Montreal, Nashville, Toronto, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and San Jose, all said to be interested in the right-winger, who has 166 goals in the last five years. Jets defenceman Zach Bogosian has also had his name linked to Semin in various trade rumours.

He's a notorious playoff choker. I wouldn't want this guy anywhere near my team.

There's no doubt he has the potential to be good though, he has a great skill set.

I rather not fill up our cap space with another right winger; I think we should be focusing on our objective of acquiring that first line center we've always wanted.

I would love to have him on nashville, ourm offense is so bad that it'd make him look good.

Look at his drop off in the playoffs the past two seasons. You are referring to stats that are pushing on 3 years old basically now.

Semin the past two playoff runs for the Caps:

GP - 7 Points - 2
GP - 9 Points - 6

He has a "me" attitude like mentioned, and I just don't see the toughness from this guy that I would welcome him on my team. He is a wicked player in the regular season lighting up the stat sheets, but when the games get tougher later in the year I wouldn't depend on him.

ya, and now that nashville signed Bergfors (lazy and selfish as fuck), Semin and him would fucking hate eachother.

6 points in 9 games isn't that bad at all. He is far from a notorious playoff choker.

If we get him .. I will be happy at first but then disappointed.. Cause he never shows up during the important moments ... And takes space on the cap

How does he have a bad attitude? The situation during the 15 goalless streak was overblown by the media.

And sure Kessel isn't Kulemin, Schenn or Grabovski when it comes to work effort, but he still gives an effort. He does things like following his rebounds, and hustling for loose pucks.

Kessel's attitude has been questioned all the way back to before he was even in the NHL. And with the way he acted when he was benched, it looks like nothing has changed. When you get benched for being useless, take it like a man instead of crying about it.

Not a very hard effort. When he doesn't have the puck, he is useless.

Your love for Kessel is really blinding you.

I can tell you from experience that last point is incorrect lol

Kessel gives effort when he's playing his style and that's pretty much it.

I know he is a one way player, who lacks defensive abilities. He is offense first, and he will always be that way.

That's another reason why I don't want Semin in Toronto. His playing style (being a oneway forward) is very similar to Kessel's, and we don't need too players who play the same way in our top six. However I do believe his attitude is worse than Kessel's.
