I can't ever imagine Reese saying something like this.

Eli and Brees get out of San Diego and become superbowl MVP's afterwards.

It's obvious that Eli never wanted to play for that half-assed franchise.

I thought this shit was done, seriously.. The Chargers should be happy they got Phillip Rivers and just move on from there.

You can worry about some trade that took place seven years ago -- or you can move forward and focus on winning the Super Bowl.

Lol, I dont get how someone could be so pissed off about winning a trade like that. There is something mentally wrong with that guy.

Rivers> Eli

The Giants won that Super Bowl because of their defense.

What the Chargers should have done was drafted Larry Fitzgerald and kept Drew Brees

You mean the defense that gave up the lead with less than three minutes left in the game? We don't win that superbowl without him, and his superbowl MVP trophy is proof of that. Eli outplayed Brady on the biggest stage, but "the defense won it for the Giants." I wasn't aware that the defense threw two TD passes in the fourth quarter and engineered one of the best drives in the history of the league.

GTFO out of here.

The Patriots averaged over 30ppg before the Super bowl

It wasn't because Tom Brady was "off", it's because thr Giants defense was great

You are retarded if you think the Giants would have wonq without their defense

Any QB could have chucked up the luckiest throw in the history of sports

The Patriots were ranked fourth in scoring defense that year as well. Yet, Eli dissected that defense by going onto throwing two TD passes in the final quarter.

I never said that we would've won without our defense. I said that our defense did give up the lead in the fourth, and Eli got it back en route to winning (you guessed it) the superbowl Most Valuable Player award. Nice try at attempting to twist my argument.

For the record, let's not act like Brady didn't have a lot of help from his teammates during that dynasty.

lol "dissected"

a QB rating of 87.3 is not dissecting shit. When NE played NYG Wk 17, and Brady threw for 356 yards and had a QB rating of 116.8, he dissected that Giants defense. 87.3? lmao.

Twisting your argument? I was reissuing my statement, that the Giants defense won the Super Bowl for them. If you replaced Eli Manning with the 16th best QB that season (Sage Rosenfels), they would have a better chance of winning than if they instead replaced the defense with the 16th best in the league (Arizona). The defense won them that title, there is no way around it. They took out the MVP.

Also, i didn't hurt for Eli to have Plax Burress. Burress, at 6'5", caught the ball over 5'11" Ellis Hobbs in the endzone. half a foot is a huge difference in height. And how have the Giants done since Plax went to jail? poorly

Quit fucking arguing what ifs. the giants won and Eli was a big reason why. get over it
Thank you. Lets put this Eli didnt do shit for the Giants Super Bowl to rest.

Playoff run:

6 TD's 1 INT
95.7 Passer rating
60.5 Completion %

And he made a number of clutch plays during that run. He might not replicate that again, but he did it at least once, which is 1 more a lot of the QB's in this league right now.
