But if you click on PLAYERS on NBA.com, you can still get to the player's profile. The picture of the player is removed for a team logo though. LOL

I wonder how having veterans that have gone through a lockout before will impact this particular lockout. Eventually it's going to be hard for guys to pay for three houses and six cars when there is no money coming in for them.

Most of the players who have that kind of money are still getting money from endorsements, they won't hurt too much

ESPN Radio talked about these endorsements the other day. They said that both endorsements and sponsorships will get kind of iffy because of the lockout.

yeah, the collateral damage is much worse than anything else. All these venues banking on those 41 games a year. All those grunt workers who assemble and disassemble the court and all the little intricacies like setting the hoops up and placing out all the scorer's tables and chairs for the bench as well as court-side seating. That's multiple hours down the drain for all those people picking up venue jobs for extra cash. My side job is working at an arena and we damn near get a full day out of setting up the basketball court. I can only imagine how much money I'd make if we hosted 41 NBA games a year. Some people are losing some serious cash, here. I think the NBA needs to fuck off a get a deal done. By grumbling about money, you're doing much worse damage to the less fortunate.

If a player isn't under contract with an NBA team, they can't be included in an NBA video game. And if the rookies can't sign contracts with the teams during the lockout, they won't be in the game.

There's no way they put out a game like that lol. If worst comes to worst, they'll pull an MLB and put in "fake" rookies that are really the real ones.

EA has done it before, NBA Live 99 shipped with 1997/1998 rosters. No rookies.

Maybe 2k will handle it differently, but other than including fake rookies as you said, I don't know how.
I'd rather make CAPs than use those. lol
