He's still Mags though. He can hit, that's why he still plays, and since he's come back, he's had 11 hits, 3 rbi's in 41 at bats. I know that doesn't sound all that great, but he also has been robbed of more. Seems like he gets ripped off on spectacular plays quite a bit. I was one that was about ready to give up on him, but since he's come back, he's looking more like the old Mags. He has his swing again, and that's a great thing to see. Dirks should be an everyday player, along with Boesch, but the outfield is just so crowded that you can't do that. Which isn't a bad thing to have all those options.

Also, a sick assist by Boesch to end the top half. I knew this would be a much better day with JV pitching.
While it was a great throw by Boesch, I think it was an even better play by Avila. The throw was late but Avila blocked the plate to get the out. Magglio has shown signs of getting better, he just doesn't field well out there anymore either. I'm not ready to give up on him, but hopefully he can start getting some more hits, without getting robbed.

Sunday is the all-star selection show (TBS, 12 PM EST)
cant wait

Kemp is a guarantee. hopefully he starts
and Kershaw should be there, but I have my doubts. Hopefully he's there

and im being a homer, but only becuase there's precedent......If Omar Infante could be an all-star, then Jamey Caroll deserves to be >.<
but dont sleep on Ryan Roberts of the DBacks if they pick a utility player

Asdrubal should and WILL make it. Chris Perez better get the nod as a bullpen guy and I hope Carlos Carrasco gets a look. His ERA right now is only 3.50 but he's been a top 5 pitcher in the month of June and looks like an ace, but I doubt he makes it. A lot of our set up guys could make a case to get into the game but they only take closers.

Actually Justin Masterson has a sub 3.00 ERA so he might make it instead lol. Didn't even realize until I just looked. What the hell, put them both in.

yeah masterson <3

im glad he's doing well for you guys.

The starter will probably be between Jered, Beckett, or Lester IMO, since Verlander isnt gonna do it

Yeah, Verlander won't pitch the AS game, unfortunately.

Bombtista strikes again!!!!
One of the few times i've seen Bautista live outside of against the Yankees. All the announcers are saying is don't throw a strike he's going to hit a homerun...first pitch gets tanked.
