Multiple sources tell FOX Sports' Adam Caplan that the Eagles intend to show "strong interest" in free agent CB Ike Taylor.
Caplan has a better read on the Eagles than any team. Per his report, the Eagles are considering using more zone concepts in the secondary this year, and Taylor learned similar principles under Dick LeBeau in Pittsburgh. Taylor has ideal size for zone coverage at 6-foot-2, 195, and he'll be a cheaper option than Nnamdi Asomugha. Taylor has also played right corner predominantly in his career. The Eagles need a bookend for LCB Asante Samuel.

I personally think that Ike will end up staying in Pittsburgh, but they'll have to pay him. For an Eagles fan this is good to see that they are making plays for CBs.

I'm not big on Ike Taylor either and I'm not sure he'd be a fit for the Eagles but who knows I guess, he isn't terrible by any means.

Ike Taylor is one of the more underrated corners in the league, IMHO. He doesn't get a lot of publicity but he's solid on the corner for the Steelers, and he's been pretty good against the league's best for quite some time.

Well, the Steelers defense in general is awesome so it could help him out. He is a solid corner though, he'd be a nice addition for a team like the Lions.

It doesn't matter really though. At corner they had nobody next to him, and he still was shutting down his guys pretty damn well.

He used to absolutely track down Chad Johnson when he was in his prime to nothing.

Well, that was years ago, lol. Like I said, he's a solid corner, not much more than that. He'd be a nice addition for a team desperately needing a CB. Opposing teams rarely even have time to throw the ball, that defense altogether is just beast. Defensive line, linebackers and safeties. He has done his part for the most part, I just think being apart of a great defense like that helps. It has to somewhat.

I would be ok with this. I find him to be a tad underrated

He's definitely underrated.. I can't believe his own divisional rivals can't tell this that the guy is a damn good corner in this league still.

i never liked him cause he was a steeler, but he is definitely a good corner. We need one who can tackle so he also makes sense in that regard.

He can tackle very well. He's the main corner in a Pittsburgh Steeler defense, he HAS to tackle.. It's as simple as that. The Steelers don't want him to go, and this is going to be very tough if he decides to leave.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens in the situation. This a wicked sign for the Eagles if they can get this done.
