Anybody think Tex has a shot to hit 500?

Assuming he hits 40 this season, he'd have to hit about 30 for the next 6 seasons

I could see it, especially with him starting to hit more for power then average.

how about them yankees? CC is dealing. 10 Ks through 5.1 innings pitched so far. He set his buddy Prince field down on strikes 2 times already.

11 down on strikes through 6 innings pitched now. CC on a roll. if the phillies can make a comeback and beat boston and we can hold onto this dub, we can have a 3.5 game lead over Red Sox for 1st place in AL East.

Should be an everyday player, but we got too many young out fielders that Leyland will play.

Third straight game Dirks has had a home run. Verlander still going strong in the 7th inning, this guy is just a beast.

Well, Magglio just isn't cutting it nowadays.
He's still Mags though. He can hit, that's why he still plays, and since he's come back, he's had 11 hits, 3 rbi's in 41 at bats. I know that doesn't sound all that great, but he also has been robbed of more. Seems like he gets ripped off on spectacular plays quite a bit. I was one that was about ready to give up on him, but since he's come back, he's looking more like the old Mags. He has his swing again, and that's a great thing to see. Dirks should be an everyday player, along with Boesch, but the outfield is just so crowded that you can't do that. Which isn't a bad thing to have all those options.

Also, a sick assist by Boesch to end the top half. I knew this would be a much better day with JV pitching.
