A source familiar with the situation confirmed Sunday to the Sun Sentinel that veteran center Eddy Curry has been working with the Miami Heat in recent days, as the Heat look at free-agent options.

By league rules, teams cannot currently work out free agents who finished the season on an NBA roster.

Workouts of those types of free agents cannot begin until July 1, when a lockout is expected to be imposed, shutting down all league activity.

Someone on the Heat probably offered him a cheeseburger if he came to work out with them.

Imagine the Heat get him in shape and he's good lmao. There was a point where he looked like he was starting to get back into semi-shape with the Knicks, but it didn't take him long to quit that. smh

His daughter and ex-girl friend were also found murdered...

I never get the hate on Big Eddy. It's not like he was really given a chance to play since averaging 20 a game in '07.

I'm pretty sure he could at least still provide some inside scoring for a team that needs a backup center.

If he gets in shape he can. It's not like he was a bad player.
