According to Fox Sports Southwest's Matt Mosley, it's a "long shot" that the Cowboys will end up signing free agent Nnamdi Asomugha.
Mosley got the info from a team insider as a response to the Cowboys' No. 2 ranking in the recent Asomugha sweepstakes from SI.com's Peter King. Dallas could use a lock-down corner, but they're expected to be up against the salary cap once the CBA is finalized. An Asomugha signing would necessitate cutting a handful of veterans while outbidding all other suitors.

I wonder what kind of money it's going to take to grab him?

I understand the want for him.

Its not a good investment for any team however.

Hes 30, and wanting a high contract.....

Anybody else see the redflags?

It's not like he plays runningback. He really doesn't take much of a beating. Look at Rinse Barber.

Woodson is 34, and is still playing at a high level as well.

I'd say Aso has a few more elite years left in him.

It's going to be interesting to see what eventually happens with Aso.

I agree with kam, it's a little bit of a turn off to me that he wants a very long contract and he's already 30. Yeah, he doesn't play RB, but he is going to have a 3-4 more years of elite ability and that will probably be it in my eyes.

So you'd have your team in the hole for a 30 year old CB? Who played against most #2 WRs instead of #1's.
