The drafting of Kentucky shooting guard DeAndre Liggins has some in Orlando believing that impending free agent Jason Richardson's days with the Magic are numbered.

Orlando GM Otis Smith has said that he believes that JJ Redick, a valuable reserve who has steadily improved his game since being drafted in 2006, is ready to be an NBA starter. After a disappointing first-round exit to the Atlanta Hawks, the Magic are looking to make significant line-up changes in an effort to re-sign Dwight Howard before his free agency next summer.

I wouldn't mind the Hornets taking a look at him. He was playing great for Phoenix.

Jason Richardson is still fairly young. I don't even think he's 31 yet. He's got a good 6-7 seasons left to be effective. Unless he wants big bucks, why let him walk?

Because he's a shell of his former self and wants far more money than he is worth.

I'm assuming because he isn't a starter in this league lol.
They found success with him off the bench, don't ruin it lol.
Redick is a starter in this league, he would start on a handful of teams in this league. The Bulls offered him a 3 year/20 million dollar contract to be their STARTING SHOOTING GUARD. And the Magic matched. His production is going to be similar to what Richardson does. Van Gundy has stated many times that Redick is the best perimeter defender on the team. And while Richardson is a better offensive player at this point, he's not worth the money he's going to wanting this offseason.

To say a handful of teams is being kind of generous. I think those handful of teams would be teams with mediocre SG's, such as the Bulls lol.

Yeah but he'd also start on a bunch of other teams too, hence why I said a handful of teams. Bottom line is Redick can start in the NBA.
