I don't get it. Neither of the deals that the Flyers made are bad deals, but to me they seemed like a team that should be adding a piece or two to compete... Not completely revamping.

I was thinking the exact same thing. They're like re-tooling and they gave away their best players in my mind

Well first off all, I hate to see Luke's brother go to Philly.

Secondly, like you guys mentioned, seems weird Philly trades away their top players, for youth. Either way they have the potential to have some scary firepower in their future.

Dreger reported that we offered Kadri and Kulemin for Richards. Not a fan at all of trading Kulemin.

This was the big deal that surprised me. Schenn and Simmonds are going to be interesting in Philly now. Schenn especially to see how he develops and progresses.

I love what the Kings did by adding Richards though.

Neither deals are bad personnel-wise (who's going/coming back) but, given what they made way for (Bryzgalov), I don't think they're good deals.

Honestly, gotta think the Flyers are going to make a big push for Brad Richards. Otherwise these deals make even less sense than they already do.
