Still a long way to go. Kershaw is one of the best pitchers in the league. So, i'm not surprised he is doing great early on. When I saw the match up was Penny vs. Kershaw I wasn't expecting a win. Doesn't mean it can't happen, just didn't expect one.

I consider him the Rafael Betancourt of hitting. They are both human rain delays.

I couldn't imagine being a hitter just sitting there and waiting for him to actually throw a pitch lol. Then after he goes through all of his motions, hitters step out, he'll throw over to first, etc. When he was in Cleveland he actually was charged a ball because he took so long, and the 2nd base ump pulled out a stop watch on him and he had to pitch before a certain amount of seconds lol.

I'm assuming Carroll still plays the same way. Usually he wont swing unless there is a strike on him, sometimes he'll wait until 2. Then he'll foul off 100 pitches.

yeah Jamey always takes the first pitch and fouls off a ton
2nd in NL in pitches per plate appearance

but he's just a gamer
always hustles
plays a good 2B and respectable SS. just wish he had more range sometimes

love me some Jamey Carroll

Yea, if not a starter he's perfect as a utility player for a winning team.

The Indians don't have to worry about the Tigers or the White Sox or the Royals......... They have to worry about the Twins because they are coming, without Morneau.

They might have too because Jose most likely wants Crawford money.
We arent some cheap organization like the Royals or Pirates. You pay top talent top dollar, this will be another slap in the face to fans of this team. And its just unbelievable that a team with one of the highest payrolls in the league cant pay its best player.

You also aren't a team like the Yankees or Red Sox who can pretty much spend money at will. If I'm not mistaken, the team ownership is in some serious hot water and, likely, aren't capable of spending a lot of money until that gets settled.

Plus you have one of the highest payrolls but it was/is pretty much locked up in overpaid or injured players. Frivolous and "ambitious" (or reckless, if you prefer) FA signings/re-signings is what got them into this problem in the first place.

if not the Mets keeping him, where is Jose Reyes going?
im stumped

Red Sox dont need him
Yanks have Jeter locked up otherwise i'd say them. but im definitely not counting them out. i almost feel bad for them. for their sakes i wish jeter only signed a 1 year deal

Cubs and Chisox dont need him
Dodgers dont need him
Angels? they have a lot of money tied up elsewhere though
Tigers are handcuffed i think with Peralta and Inge

i guess that leaves the Giants

who am i leaving out?
