laker fans are having heart attacks at the thought of having Varejao lmao

i understand his injury was pretty serious, but i just love the guy's game. he'd be great

lakers dont NEED that however. they need a back up 2, and a PG
I think I'd be ok with Steve Blake getting a more serious role. Take him out of the triangle and let him set up like he's always done. I think he'll be fine
but I want Fish to go into "semi-retired Lindsey Hunter" mode

I think I'd be ok with Steve Blake getting a more serious role.
That's what I thought last off-season; figured Steve Blake could be serviceable enough to eventually gain the starting spot even if it meant Fisher played the fourth quarter or was on the floor more minutes. Then, he went on to have the worst season out of anyone on the team. His chemistry with other players, in particular, looked especially bad; Jackson used him exclusively as a spot up shooter, and he struggled when trying to compensate for his old duties.

Blake's best statistical years in Portland '08 and with the Clippers '10 were on teams with shooters which demanded ball movement that he had the responsibility of providing. In LA, Odom has or at least should have that role off the bench. If Blake runs with starters, Kobe is creating his own shot, or facilitating for others (even if most of the time he shouldn't) In both of these situations, the ball is out of his hands which means he is less successful. I don't see those roles changing, even with Mike Brown. Where does that leave Blake? Between a rock and a hard place.

The only way Blake can succeed is if he reclaims his outside shooting form. My guess though is that unless something miraculous happens and he isn't back to playing within his comfort zone, it won't happen. Fisher, just based on skill set, complements those realities. He can't shoot worth a lick anymore but it beats awkward play with Blake.

...consider me one of them.
3yrs/27 million?

I'll pass
You realize for a big man, that's a good deal? All good centers make a ton of money, because there are very few of them.

I know he did. But posting every picture on the internet bout it is getting old as fuck.
The first couple were funny, but it's just getting stupid now.
