People are overvaluing what Austin Rivers could be in the 2012 draft. He's caught napping on defense sometimes, can't go to his left hand when he drives and in a championship game against Dr.Phillips, Winter Park won with Rivers having 25 points 11 rebounds, which sounds good till you realize he was 8-for-25 shooting. He threw up some bad shots because he felt like shooting. Shots that shouldn't even had got out of his hand.

Valanciunas does not have a contract buyout agreement in place with his current team, Lietuvos Rytas. Some reports have said it might require as much as $3 million, while others have said it won’t be nearly that high. The team that drafts Valanciunas can contribute as much as $500,000 toward it, but he would have to pay the rest.
They also said offensively he's not ready. I'd rather take a player like Kanter who is ready.

A team at the top of the draft shouldn't pick someone just because he's 'more ready'.

So you're going to take a guy with less ceiling just because he's more ready? It's highly unlikely that a guy picked #4 is going to propel someone into the playoffs.. I'd go with the higher ceiling player all day..

*Confused on why your talking about a kid who hasnt even got to duke campus yet*

Kid would be a top 5 pick this year..sure to be one next year. Nice way to pick out one game..why dont you bring out what he did in Fiba with Kyrie..or his game against St.Pats

because of the fact that he didn't have a great game when it mattered ; he did just enough. he's a great talent, don't get me wrong but he's overhyped. the guy isn't the guaranteed star people act like he is.

when the clippers get Austin Rivers....

and i dont know. Enchilada is similar to Odom, no? maybe i'd do it
i'd do it if they threw in Flynn. we give them someone else too

if it isnt odom and is instead pau, then no way
this is why i'm talking about him btw

They still won the state..and aside from him and that comer kid..his team is horrible he needs to shoot that much for them to even be in a game.

He's not the next lebron but it's very easy to see him being a good scorer in the L. His offensive arsenal to be a high school kid is nothing short of phenomenal.

He's talking about him on the clippers because Austin mentioned it on twitter that he would want to play for the clippers because of all the young talent.

If Donald Sterling had an NBA caliber son, I'm not even sure he would want to play for the Clippers.

Kanter will be better than Jonas...now and in the future.
