BYU G Jimmer Fredette is "doubtful" to accept an invitation to work out for the Bucks, a source tells the Journal Sentinel.
The Bucks are having a hard time getting prospects in. First Enes Kanter bailed on them, and now Fredette looks like he's going to pass. Perhaps Fredette doesn't want to land behind Brandon Jennings, but he needs to be realistic. A backup scoring guard role suits him best.

Can't really blame prospects for not wanting to go to Milwaukee. They really don't have a good outlook for the future, and for Jimmer, he doesn't want to play backup to Jennings. He wants to play combo-guard for my Pacers ;) lol. Seriously though, it's sad for the Bucks that players aren't even accepting their workout offers.

Thoughts?

Yeah, that does suck for the Bucks. I feel bad for them. I think that would be a perfect situation for Jimmer to capitalize on. Go in there, work your butt off, and show them you can play. He is going to be a backup no matter what, somehow I don't think Jennings has ANYTHING to do with him not going there. My main guess is Kanter knew he wouldn't fall that far, don't know about Jimmer though. But I am kinda doubting the validity of this.

Jimmer works out for Sacramento today...so it has nothing to do with him not wanting to play behind someone.

Wow I know the Bucks aren't the greatest team but I'm surprised guys are turning them down. Jennings just needs a go to guy and that team could be set.

Why would where he gets picked have anything to do with it? If he went in and impressed, the Bucks would be more likely to pick him. AND he's working out for Sacramento who has the seventh pick. Dumb move by Fredette imo.

I don't really understand why guys think if they don't work out for a team, then that team won't select them.

^ That's true too. This is only an opportunity for Jimmer to improve his stock and possibly get picked higher. Dumb decision.

Predraft workouts are a little overstated imo, they aren't anything like they were five years ago. During that time, teams would be bringing in like eight players per day and now teams only workout a handful of players. Teams do their work before, studying film and such.

Yeah but it can make the difference between whether they draft one player or the other. Like it Utah brings in Knight and Walker, and Walker dominates Knight, then the Jazz are more likely to take Kemba.

You must have misunderstood me. I know that was a poor decision by him, that was a good opportunity for him to increase his stock.

From what I heard the only reason he might not of wanted to workout for them is that they are not a style of team he thinks he will benefit from. He wants to put himself in the bes position possible. But steal, dumb move.

Yeah, pre-draft workouts are big. It can really change a teams' mind about a player, for good or bad.
