Thrashers general manager Rick Dudley has been told by True North Sports and Entertainment that he will not be retained as the team's GM.
The club has bought out the final four-years of Dudley's contract.
True North has been given permission to speak with Chicago Blackhawks assistant general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff. Cheveldayoff is well known to both Mark Chipman and Craig Heisinger.
Earlier this week, Thrashers president Don Waddell announced he would not a part of the new organization in Winnipeg.
