Depending on who they start? Al Horford has been their starting center since his rookie year, there isn't much of a debate there.. Marvin Williams is nothing to be excited about but he is decent enough to start..

It has more to do with the fact that I watched LeBron play for the first 7 years of his career, and he was a pathetic defender for half of those years.

I'm fairly certain he starts at PF in some situations. But regardless of that, they have some holes in their team. My main point from all of this.

And it could be the fact he got bigger and faster in 7 years, and just learned the game better.
To say Brown deserves all the credit there, but Woodson deserves none is kind of biased..

He has started 264 games at center in his career and 38 times at PF, so those situations are very limited and most likely had to do with either injuries accruing or out of desperation to switch the lineup up..

In 07-08 the Hawks ranked 21st in OPP FG%, 11th in 08-09 and 16th in 09-10 and for comparisons sakes the Cavs ranked 11th, 2nd and 4th in those 3 years.

I didn't say Brown as a good defensive coach.
But Woodson is also a good defensive coach. He improved the Hawks defensively.

It's about time that he gets fired. Now maybe that Detroit team can start living up to the potential it showed flashes of at times last season. Alongside the Lakers, I'd look out for the Minnesota Timberwolves to look at bringing him in as an assistant. They've made it clear that Rambis has to re-vamp his staff, so that could be a possibility.

I saw a lot of flashes last year bro. I honestly think you guys would be a good team, probably have made the Playoffs this past season if Kuester didn't lose the team. I'm sorry, but my Pacers were getting killed by you guys in our matchups, we just found ways to win because Kuester would make poor coaching decisions down the stretch. You got a great roster, just need to get things together, and it all starts with coaching.

Meh, glad someone thinks so.
I think we do have talented pieces, but we never could get them all working at the same time.

I think it is safe to say the next coach of the Pistons will not be a rookie head coach lol.

DALLAS – Pistons management huddled Sunday to begin formulating a list of candidates to replace John Kuester as head coach, with defensive-minded coaches possessing experience and/or a commanding presence dominating the early discussions.

Pistons president Joe Dumars and his basketball staff have a preliminary list of candidates including former Hawks coach Mike Woodson, Mavs assistant Dwane Casey, former Nets coach Lawrence Frank, Bucks assistant Kelvin Sampson, and ABC/ESPN broadcaster Mark Jackson, league sources told CBSSports.com. Former Pistons star Bill Laimbeer also is expected to receive consideration, as is Hornets assistant Michael Malone.

Malone, who worked with Kuester on Mike Brown’s staff in Cleveland, is a finalist for the Golden State head coaching position and also is in the mix to join Brown’s staff with the Lakers. Kuester, who ran the offense for Brown in Cleveland, also is expected to speak with his former boss about joining him in L.A.

Sampson’s push for a head coaching position is gaining momentum due to his expertise on the defensive side of the ball. The former Indiana University coach also has the presence and fiery personality the Pistons are seeking. Sampson’s name also has been linked to the Timberwolves, who have yet to decide Kurt Rambis’ future. Sampson also would be a logical fit for the Knicks, who are seeking a defensive assistant to add to Mike D’Antoni’s staff -- though it is uncertain whether the Bucks would permit him to leave for a lateral move.

Dumars said Sunday there is no timetable for the search, and teams are proving to be slow on the trigger with firings and hirings due to the possibility of a lockout.

Out of all those names, I really only want Woodson.
I wouldn't mind Casey or Jackson if they weren't rookie coaches, cause I feel like they could be good head coaches. But I don't want to go down that road again.

Really, anyone is better than Kuester though lol.

I wonder if Mark Jackson would be screaming hand down man down at the other teams when his guys hit shots.
