You wouldn't have got anything from them anyway.

I think the Knicks are going to be fine with the next Gm that takes over. As long as its not Isiah Thomas of course. I think the team is going to progressively get better next year with just more reps and the players getting accustomed to each other during the offseason. The next Gm will have to build Amare and Melo with roleplayers. More specifically a center who can rebound and a backup PG.

If I was the Knicks in this situation, just let him go from year to year. He's old, you can't expect him to sign a multi-year deal, and you knew that heading into it the moment you signed him from the Pacers. Not trying to start anything, but it's stupid because look at the team he's built. Granted, he gave up a lot for Melo, but he's locked him up long-term, and has put himself in perfect place to re-sign Wilson Chandler this offseason anyway. Look at the money he still has. They should have done what it took to keep him. Mistake for New York.

woah woah woah... this wasn't the "Knicks" decision not to resign him. It was simply the owner's overbloated ego that tossed him aside. Stern practically forced Isiah out, got Walsh in there to clean up the mess. Dolan felt the mess was cleaned up, no need for the guy anymore. I know the Owner kind of is the team, but w/e, I view it as everyone else in the organization proabably was all for keeping Walsh one more year but Dolan has the upper hand.

^They won't resign Chandler. the guy ain't coming back so he can sit on the bench behind Melo. Plus he'll probably get a nice payday and the Knicks have needs elsewhere, eherm, Center. And if he does take less money to sit on the bench behind Melo I will throw my tv through the window.
