Work out in the long term, sure. Obviously, they struggled plenty in the regular season, like most people thought they would. And clearly worked out? Like I said, let's see what happens if they win a title. If they don't, in my opinion, I don't think they've worked out.
Making the finals in their first season is enough for me to call it clearly working out.
Beauty of opinions, you are entitled to your own.
End of story.
Good night.

I just want to know, how though? Watch this video and tell me anything short of a championship isn't a disapointment.

Yep. I watched it to confirm that, but I figured it was.

I'm rooting for the Mavs in this series, and it would be sweet for it to go to Game 7, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it end in less(as in 6).

Teams who run up the score, always pay. it's a sports thing
it's just the way it is. they end up paying for it one way or another

look at the pats/jets this past year. in 09 usc was running up the score vs stanford. after that season they got into a ton of trouble with the reggie bush stuff and pete carrell left.
these are just 2 recent examples i could think of

Mavs were running up the score like crazy vs the lakers in game 4. they'll pay

Heat in 5

but all that nonsense aside. i just dont see how they beat the heat without some controversy. the heat should win easily

Good season...

Derrick won MVP...

Thibs won COY...

We finished with the best record in the entire NBA...

We definitley over achieved this season and the foundation has been laid for the future. We just gotta build on this now and hope to improve.

It's gonna be real hard in the East though, because it looks like Miami has finally figured it out. Plus if the MLE is still around, the Heat are gonna be able to keep adding solid players every year, which just doesn't seem right.

Still, despite having a great season, it was devastating to go out to this team in this way. I would have rather lost to any team in the league, but Miami. This just sucks. I really thought we had it tonight, with a chance to push it back to Chicago for game 7.

Maybe I was being crazy, but tonight looked like it was in the bag for us, and all we ever needed was 1 win in Miami, so I had hope that it could come Saturday, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Really sad play down the stretch tonight...

I can't believe I've watched the Pack beat the Bears and the Heat beat the Bulls in the conference championship games this year. I'm waiting for the Cubs to go down to the Cardinals in the NLCS. :(

This might rank up there with the Cubs in '03 and Illinois vs UNC in '05, this is definitley something I won't be talking about/thinking about anytime soon. Worst memories in sports history.

Before getting caught up in celebrating his team's series-clinching victory over the Bulls on Thursday night, Heat star LeBron James embraced Reggie Rose, Derrick's older brother, and whispered a few words in Reggie's ear.

"He said, 'Tell young fella he's a hell of a player and that he's one player away from a title,''' Reggie Rose said, relaying James' message.

Biggest series of his life...and he shot 35 fucking percent. I love the guy but blackball him for mvp discussions for the next 5-6 years.
He shot 39.6% for the entire playoffs and averaged nearly four turnovers per game. Doesn't seem like MVP numbers to me.

I'd run up the score if I was playing the Lakers.

You should be able to play with us, it isn't my fault you came out and played shitty.

Yea, seriously give it a fucking rest dude. The Lakers are out awhile ago, they got swept and got their asses handed to in the last game, get over it.
