I don't think LeBron went to Miami because Pat said he could be Magic, he does like to facilitate more but he played less Point this year than ever
It played a role in him going to MIA. He was sold on being a Magic Johnson type guy...hence the I dont have to score 30 every game comment and etc.

But Miami Heat president Pat Riley, a former Lakers coach known for his powers of persuasion, mentioned past and present Lakers superstars during his sales pitch to LeBron.

“LeBron would be Magic (Johnson), Dwyane would be Kobe (Bryant) and Chris would be (Kevin) Garnett,” Riley said in the latest issue of Sports Illustrated, repeating what he told King James during Miami’s three-hour presentation in downtown Cleveland on July 2.

“He actually liked that conversation. He lit up and he said that would be great if ‘I didn’t have to score’ (a lot), that he could be maybe the first guy since Oscar Robertson to be a (consistent) triple-double guy.”

Brandon Knight or Tristan Thompson is the only way I wont give up on this franchise.
I still say a Morris twin even though #8 could be a bit high for one of them. I think a bruiser like them will do the Pistons good.

Eh, I'm not too high on them.
Solid role player, don't really have upside.

He has no rings and his biggest accomplishments have all come to him while not playing PG. People get drafted at positions they don't fit in the long run. The best PG to come out of high school isn't a PG. Awesome. I think he was more of a 2 guard coming out of hs anyways.
You said name a point guard that came out of hs and lived up to expectations...

Monta Ellis can be considered a point guard as can lou will....really their combo guards.

So in hindsight..I named 2 guys who surpassed expectations

If we took him I think we will.
I think Tristan would be a nice compliment to Greg.

And none of those PGs are top 5. Prolly not even top 15. Like I said before high school pgs aren't ready for this league. Unless you're not planning on being a star player or a starting pg. College is best.

On the low...Cleveland can get D-Will and Brandon Knight
I would be very pissed off if we passed on Kyrie, and wanted to go forward with Brandon Knight as our PG..

Yeah I was won over by him during the season but I dont see that much greatness for Brandon Knight..maybe a fringe all-star guy for a couple of years at best.

I just don't see him as a true PG, that's my problem with him.

I could see Knight being a 15-7 guy on some playoff teams, don't think he'll ever lead a team to a Championship though
