Citing people inside the organization, the Washington Post reports that the Redskins have "money to spend" and are "champing at the bit" to use it in unrestricted free agency.
Some of the top free agent names linked to Washington are CB Nnamdi Asomugha and DE Corey Williams, as well as QB Vince Young after he's released. The Redskins, of course, have a long history of big free agent spending under owner Dan Snyder, although new GM Bruce Allen was supposed to scale that back. After an impressive, rebuilding-heavy draft, it sounds like Allen and Mike Shanahan still have designs on winning now.

I'm still calling bullshit on this.
For your sake, I really hope so. This organization needs to find a new way to build up and make this team successful again.

Well, the way they handled the draft leaves me optimistic for the future. I don't think this regime shares the mindset that Cerrato had when he was the GM. Everybody said that the Redskins were after Julius Peppers last year based on their reputation for big name free agents in the past. They never wanted Peppers. Same was said about Karlos Dansby, Antrelle Rolle and Darren Sproles. No offer was made to any of those players.

It will probably take a couple years of smart front office management for the negative perception of the Redskins organization to die down. I am hopeful that that happens.

They already brought in OJ Otogwe on a deal that will be paying him 5-6 mill at age 35...

Which was a pretty fair deal. If Cerrato was still making the decisions, there is no doubt in my mind that they would have given Atogwe 45 mil at least.

Well Otogwe is still good, but the Redskins are a team that need to rebuild... You don't give a 5 year deal to someone who will be 31 before he touches the field for you. That's not how you build a team. If he was the 'missing piece', yes it's a good deal. But they need to fix literally every position on the field except for TE and S, and maybe after the draft OLB.
