Miami Herald columnist Armando Salguero continues to insist that Carson Palmer is the Dolphins' "favorite option" to supplant Chad Henne at quarterback.
However, Salguero also confirms "the Dolphins are not holding their breath" that Bengals owner Mike Brown will make Palmer available, and the team is still counting on Henne to be its 2011 starter. If Palmer's trade wish is granted, the Dolphins would probably be one of his best possible outcomes.

It's tough for me to vision Carson in a Miami uniform for some reason. This deal could be realistic though, and as much as the Dolphins have had some highs and lows with Henne, they'd snap Palmer in a heartbeat if he is avaliable to go.

They didn't address QB in this draft, don't be surprised.

I'm sure he's the favorite option for a few teams desperate for a starting QB. I also think Mike Brown will end up trading him, especially if they offer a good deal for him. If a team wants him badly enough, it's hard saying what may be offered. Mike Brown is stubborn, but I think in the end, Carson Palmer will be traded. Not sure why, he has a lot of good weapons in Cincinnati, but it's not like he helped us win games anyways. He locks onto one receiver and runs around scared. Mentally, I'm not sure he's all there anymore, football wise.

I don't think it would be a bad move for the Dolphins picking him up.

The ceiling for Chad Henne in my eyes is being an average QB at best in the NFL, and if the Fins believe that Palmer can still play ball at a high level, why not bring him in?

I'm not saying it would be a bad move for the Dolphins. Carson Palmer has demanded to be traded to a West Coast team such as the 49ers, Raiders etc. I'm not sure he would want to play in Miami. He would be a better option than Chad Henne, no doubt. It wouldn't surprise me if a change of scenery did good for him, I know what he's capable of.

Could be an option for them. If he is ready to go. Hard to pass him up, especially when you don't have that for sure QB. Henne is a backup who is stuck in a starter role. He'll get you wins, but not consistently enough to keep you satisfied with him. Palmer would be a better option, no question. All depends on what Carson wants to do.

I'd rather have him go to MIA than retire.
