See, looks like them Jaguars fans were happy. You probably weren't expecting Gabbert, much to your surprise.

Basically what Detroit did was draft a replacement for Williams. They will however, still get ran on, because no NT. Its cool.BTW kam, Corey Williams strength is rushing the passer as well. Never really known as a gap filler or run stopper. If I'm not mistaken he played a bit of end when in the 3-4 on Cleveland.
Our whole defensive scheme really is to reek havoc in the backfield, with less emphasis in stopping the run, and it showed as we didn't stop the run that well last year, but still were pretty high up in sacks.
So if anything, I'm apologizing for saying at any time that no one is going to be able to run on us.
But at the same time, Fairley is very much interchangeable as the starter in favor of Williams. Williams might be bigger, but his specialty was still getting to the backfield (and though he didn't get many sacks, he still got into the backfield a lot). Because like I said, Gunther Cunningham emphasizes getting pressure and getting into the backfield.
Unorthodox? Perhaps.
Impossible? No.

I thought the Bengals might steal Gabbert but they didn't. Once I seen Jacksonville trade up, I knew that was it. As did probably everyone. Got to have a good QB or life will be miserable. I thought the Bengals had that guy with Carson Palmer, we see how that has turned out. What had happened was.
I was talking to Jake on aim.
Heard them say something about a trade with Jags/Dallas that didn't go threw, so I started thinking that maybe the Jags are calling the Skins.. so I started standing. I was standing, then Bam, Jags jump on clock, then I start jumping and screaming like a white bitch for the beatles, then Adam Schefter says "Jacksonville Jaguars will get its Franchise Quarterback" .. I fell and started crying..
Yall dunno how hard its been.
To have to deal with Garrard/Leftwich for the past 8 or so years.
:/ Gets tough after a while.
That kind of reaction, is what the draft is all about. Aside from improving your team. The fans reactions are one of the best parts, and I mean the REAL fans, not the fakes who are just happy about who they got because everyone else is. I was getting excited when our 1st pick was nearing, and got really nervous. Than when we picked Fairley I was upset we didn't get Prince but at the same time realized "Damn, we just got Fairley. I wasn't even thinking of him" and I starting clapping my hands and yelling. What had happened was.

Corey Williams played 3-4 DE but was terrible at it, it was why we dumped him.BTW kam, Corey Williams strength is rushing the passer as well. Never really known as a gap filler or run stopper. If I'm not mistaken he played a bit of end when in the 3-4 on Cleveland.
