Pacers coach Frank Vogel made a bold, but calculated prediction at Tuesday’s shootaround.

“We feel like if we win this game tonight, we’ll win the series,” he said.

Indiana trails the series 3-1, with Game 5 at the United Center tonight at 7 p.m.

Pacers leading scorer Danny Granger concurred.

“I honestly believe that,” Granger said. “If we win tonight on their home court, we’ve got to go back to Indiana, where we have the better odds of winning. Honestly, a Game 7 is going be a tossup. Whoever plays better that night is going to win the series.”

I'm inclined to agree with Vogel on this one. If the Pacers are able to get this series to 3-2, and head back home, they'll take care of business on the home floor. That makes it 3-3 heading back to Chicago with the Pacers having full momentum and nothing to lose. We win tonight and we have a great chance to win the series.

Thoughts?

Anything is possible. Basically every game in the series has been close.
Bold prediction though, just don't see the Pacers pulling the upset.

I think we definitely have a shot. The whole series has been high intensity and that's not going to change tonight. I'm sorry, but we do have a shot lol.

I think Vogel and the Pacers need to worry more about finishing, and not choking away games rather than continuing to spew this bullshit to the media.

I have never seen a more undeserved sense of entitlement than I have seen with this Pacers team.

Sense of entitlement? There's no sense of entitlement at all. They've worked hard to get here, but they'll be the first ones to tell you that they haven't played well enough to be in this position. I don't see where the Bulls get their sense of the same thing. The Pacers have played them so well, that this series very easily could have been a sweep in the Pacers' favor. It goes both ways at the very least.

Not at all. The Bulls aren't the ones in the media saying how badly they've outplayed the other team, or that they should be winning the series, or saying that they "will" win anything... The Pacers have been talking shit since the end of the regular season.

I guess they can say whatever they want to try and give them any kind of mental edge, but that whole team annoys the piss out of me.

No they have not sir. I'm sorry but the Bulls have been the ones overlooking this series. They've been talking about how they can beat the Celtics now that they don't have Perkins anymore. That's the exact same thing that your mad at the Pacers for right? At least we're focused on this series and not overlooking other teams. Sorry but you just shot your argument in the foot.

Alright man. Well looks like we've closed the gap to 8 at the half. Should be a great second half just like it has been the first few games!
