Oden > DeAndre if Oden can stay healthy. That's our answer for defensive big.

J.R. Swish is the answer for a shooter on the wing, he can also create his own offense from time to time, more often than not.

Id rather Jordan for the fact he can run up and down the floor better then Oden and his knees.. and has been able to stay healthy.

JR would be nice but not the player I was thinking, being that he's alot like Melo, when you know he gets the ball its going up. But its possible I guess

This is very good news. We need Donnie Walsh back to continue to build this team up. Its a great thing that a good majority of the role players are free agents this year so that we can start to really fill out the voids that are needed on the team. Im glad he is coming back because so far he has done an excellent job.

Definitely need a big who can rebound, our rebounding was pathetic in the playoffs, a wing who can shoot, and a lockdown defensive minded guard.

Our guard needs to drop dimes and play good defense. I don't mean just rack up assist, I mean be able to squeeze the ball through tight spaces like a quarterback.

I still say fire the bitch, get him outta here.

And we need our guard to be able to run the pick and roll with Amare, Billups and STAT never got it down to where it was money, tbh I dont remember them ever running it.

Chauncey and STAT ran it in the first game with Big Shot and Melo ( vs Bucks ). It was clean as fuck, Chauncey dropped it off no look. They didn't do it often after that day though.

just me and my homerism maybe, but how would knick fans feel trading up in the draft for Kemba? Play a year under Chauncey (pick up option), and then he takes over the point. Very quick, and can score quite well. Brandon Knight too.

Me and my homerism want Brandon Knight :D We wouldn't need Chauncey's option for them to play a year under him, he's still contracted til 2012. Kemba or BK would be great for us though, Kemba is more of a true PG than BK though.

Neither are true PGs or ever will be IMO

You guys already have BK or Kemba in Tony Douglas

Will Walsh want to come back though?
Here's how I see it. Walsh spent a lot of time and a lot of sweat to get this team to where they are now. He got upshowed by Dolan to get Melo, and that may have ticked him off a little. But to not finish the job he started, would be crazy. And he only way I see Walsh leaving and not taking the extension is a matter of health. I mean after every home game they show the players walking into the tunnel and there's old man rivers on his walker exiting the stadium. It's kinda sad to watch. So if he walks I truly think it's to retire rather than take a position elsewhere, like back in Indy.

Well I mean, does anyone know how unhappy he is with the trade? The media made no secret that he did not want to do it, and he was disappointed that the trade had to go down on his watch. Maybe he'll feel like he was screwed over and won't want to work for the Knicks owner.

Walsh is a great GM for the Knicks, and bringing him back is key. He's getting older though so he doesn't have too much longer. You bring him back for two more seasons, and let him do his magic and let him build this team into a title contender.
