No it wouldn't, it would just show that Deron is committed to the Nets and trying to build them up. Dwight isn't going there.

You are right, it makes perfect sense. Dwight is expiring so the Magic are going to look to deal him before he pulls a Lebron on them. (Considering he doesn't sign an extension of course)

Because Orlando is a better basketball team than New Jersey, who is the second fiddle team in their area. Obviusly these NY/NJ people think he's going there, but he won't.

You guys have no way of improving your roster for another few years until Gilbert and Hedo's contracts come off the books. With Dwight and Deron they're a playoff team and they can build around them with whatever they want considering they're only big commitment other than those two is Outlaw.

The difference is the Magic are already an NBA-contending team. They've been in the Eastern Conference Finals the past two years. Dwight loves playing in Orlando. I know people are going to bring up LeBron comparisons but the LeBron situation is so much different than this. The Magic are only one piece away from being a top two or three team in the league.

The difference is in many areas in Florida, Orlando is the #1 team. No where in the state of New York will the Knicks not be the #1 team.

Not a piece as in another star player. A piece as in a draft pick, or a trade, or anything. You see how it worked out in Miami. They got the three stars and a "blank slate", but all their role players are terrible. That New Jersey team likely wouldn't be able to contend in the East like he has/still can in Orlando. but that's just my opinion. Obviously yours is different, you're a New Jersey guy.

I disagree with just adding any other piece to your team and making it that much better. You would need an impact player, an Andre Igoudala type player who can play great perimeter defense and also put the ball in the basket if he has to.

Well Iguodala is going to be on the market this summer so maybe the Magic can get him. I'd love that.
