First off, good game Mexi. Your team played a very well rounded game.

Now for my team...

Lets start with the obvious, teams will rarely win a playoff game when they miss twelve free throws. Twelve misses in a nine point loss, you do the math.

Sixteen turns, alot of which were unforced. Just boneheaded plays that a NBA player should not be making.

When the Lakers went on that run in the second that opened their lead, they were playing harder and more inspired. Those few minutes won them the game. In a night when you miss a ton of FT's and turn the ball over way too much, you lose because a team plays harder than you do.

In the end, there was a lot of good things to take away from tonight, and I still have hope in this series. Onto Game 3.

Also, the refs need to cut down on the ticky tack calls against Okafor.

Yeah you can't say the Lakers played a well rounded game when Kobe and Gasol play the way that they did. If Kobe and Gasol get their shit together and Bynum and Odom continue playing the way that they are the Lakers should take atleast one in NO

I love playoff basketball. So much more intensity and you can see how much harder the players play on each other during the playoffs. You see much harder fouls. And more emotion.

Kobe and Pau played the way they did because of how we played them, not because they had off nights or anything. Ariza played exceptional defense on Kobe, the best D he's played this year. Gasol, I don't even want to talk about that guy. He's pretty much taken Dirk's spot as Mr. Soft in the playoffs.

I'm still pissed off of that little run the Lakers had in the second, I can live with a team going on a run because they get hot, but they went on that run because we started dogging it and making stupid plays. Even with the missed FT's and all that, it's a game if we play with the energy we've played with all season during those few minutes.

But like I said, back to New Orleans where we play very good basketball. We'll have the crowd on our backs, we'll play with even more energy, we won't miss FT's, should be fun.

Have we not learned anything from the past? THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A KOBE STOPPER.
If you really think that Ariza will be able to hold Kobe for under 15 for any of the remaining games in this series you are being a delusional homer.

Gasol is a pussy. I wouldn't be shocked if you guys shut his ass down for the rest of the series.

Plus what you guys need to worry about is stopping Bynum. He was schooling your entire defense in game 2.

I never said I expect to hold Kobe to that again, just said Ariza played great D on him last night. When I said "probably the best he's played all season" you should have figured, "hmm a good defender, playing his best defense all year? He had to be over his head and will probably not do that again." Now I do expect Ariza to stay in his grill and make him work for his points. Not to mention Chris was just as instrumental in Kobe's struggles as Ariza was, Chris wore Kobe on the offensive end.

What we really need to figure out is how to keep Mek on the floor, it's pretty obvious he slept with one of the refs wife's or something. I don't have much to complain about in terms of officiating (there have been some ticky tack calls that you expect that Lakers to get, but nothing that I believe was really over the top questionable officiating, that just comes with being the 2 time defending champs and I don't really mind that) but some of these calls Mek is getting shouldn't be called, there letting everyone play but Mek. Even Gray had some questionable calls against him last night.

I can't believe the Pacers - Bulls game isn't on TNT, instead they show the Heat - 76ers, where the Heat will win by at least 10, most likely.

Bulls - Pacers game has the potential to be the best game on tonight...and now I can't watch it...stupid NBA.

Miami's TV ratings > Chicago's TV ratings. That's why Miami is on TNT

I have NBA TV too so I don't really care though

You can blame the refs all you want but a lot of Okafors fouls were just bonehead plays on his part. I agree that the refs seemed to be letting everyone play besides Okafor down low but all of his fouls WERE fouls. Also, even while he was on the court he wasn't delivering. He was scoreless until the final six minutes of the game.

All of them? No, some of them? Sure.

There were a lot of plays committed by their team AND our team that were similar plays to Okafors fouls that weren't called.

I don't really care about Meks offense, he's in there for defensive purposes.

All of them were fouls. Sure you guys weren't getting the same calls on the other end but it doesn't change the fact that Okafor's fouls were fouls.

I disagree with that a little. I get where your coming from, and partially agree with it, but you have to call the game evenly. We're not talking about the Lakers getting every favorable call, we're talking about the Hornets and Lakers both getting calls, but for some reason the refs have it out for Mek. I'm telling you, he banged someones wife.
