you're going by names

you know Artest sucked
you know Fish sucks

if you look up their numbers, i did a post last month how Deng/Noah/Booz were better than Bynum/Pau/Odom this year...
and lakers are in a harder conference overall
Odom > Deng
Pau >>> Boozer
Bynum > Noah

shut the heck up.

Look at their roster when Boozer and Noah was injured. Rose has carried that team all season long, with and without those two. Yes, the hiring of Thibodeau has a lot to do with their success. But games in the NBA are decided on the court, plain and simple. It's not a chess match like it is in college. Whether Rose should be the MVP or not is a debate in its own right (James and Howard both make quality arguments), but to say Rose isn't the main reason for their success is ludicrous.
NBA games, just like NFL games, are decided on the preparation before the game. With a crap gameplan, you'd be a crap team. Without Thibodeau, they wouldn't be the #1 seed. It always has, and always will, start with the guy at the top, the boss. How well the players can execute what he prepares, well that's another debate.

So the Bulls are still an elite team without Rose.

Hehehe, good one.

you make a strong point, but Rose is still overrated. Jim Rome gave him more head then god allows when handing out awards, I think he made up 4 random categories just so he could give DRose neck.
If your mad about the media attention he gets than fine. But dont discredit the MVP type of season he has. And why wouldnt the nba want to market the young quiet and humble guys like D-Rose/Durant/D12...people like them.

And mexi of course Luol is gonna have higher numbers..he's their 2nd/3rd option depending on the game.

Joakim basically averages the same numbers as Andrew.... Pau averages more points and rebounds than Booz

The bulls would be in the lottery without Rose...LMAO at a team with CJ Watson and Keith Bogans starting being anything other than ass.

Rose is the most important player on that team, but saying Rose has more to do with their success then the coach does is just laughable and so wrong. I'm shocked that you even have this mindset, words can't describe how wrong it is.

A player is NEVER more important than the coach. If that was the case, teams would just settle for middle of the line coaches, and Chicago sure as hell wouldn't have gone as hard as they did for Coach Thibodeau.

im not saying Kobe's MVP at all
im just saying the love rose gets is remarkable whereas Kobe, who put up essentially the same exact numbers, gets no love anymore. many actually say he's declining fast

he is declining, but i was just saying his down year is Rose's MVP year
just me saying how great Kobe is :p
Its because Kobe has done it for the past decade, this is Rose's first time being elite status.

Wow you're a Lakers fan and you're arguing this. You and I both know that all three of these guys on L.A. are better than their stats show. Odom comes off the bench. Pau Gasol carried the team in November when Kobe was out (was in MVP discussion). Bynum was in serious trade talks for CARMELO, on a team where he's the primary post scorer he gets 16 per at least. Come on you know so much better than this.

Mike Brown was the worst coach in the NBA last year and still won 60 games a season. Why is that? LEBRON JAMES.

"The lakers are so much better than the rest of the west"

Oh really...then why would we give the MVP to a guy on a team that is just so much above the rest of their conference.

Bullshit.
They'd be at least a 7th, 8th seed. Thib's (defensive) system isn't built around personnel really, it's just everybody working together. They'd still be an excellent defensive team without Rose, thanks to their coach.

I feel you on that one. DRose was a stud this year, but he's getting head from ESPN and every other MVP candidate will be overlooked because of it.
