Good to see Beckett pitch well in back-to-back games. Hopefully, he can keep it up.
SeasonsI may have misread your post, but did you say he has only pitched like an ace in two or three games in his career, or has had two or three ace like seasons?
I just don't think the fact that he's been injured is enough to discount him as a great pitcher. As evidenced by how well he does when he's not hurt. Again, I agree that he's not a prototypical ace or throw ace innings, but he's got the talent to be considered among the best pitchers. Just not cream of the crop. With the lack of success last year and the injury nobody has really talked about him, but before that, his name was being tossed around with the best pitchers in the league.
Part of being a great pitcher is the ability to be counted on to go deep in games and stay healthy, Beckett doesn't do that. He's pitched 200 or more innings in only 3 seasons.
That shall be interesting. Hope he stays healthy & shows how good he really can be.Grady has been activated and is starting in Center today.
