Kevin Durant believes the fans have forgotten about him this season.

“I guess I’m flying under the radar,’’ said Durant in an interview with HoopsHype.

“A lot of people forgot about me this year,’’ said Durant, who is averaging 27.8 points. “So I guess if I get the scoring title, I guess people will remember me.

"Last year, I kind of jumped on the scene. I’m not on the scene as much as I was last season, I guess."

Having come in second in last year's MVP balloting, Durant's name hasn't come up very much lately in MVP talk.

“People like the new story, I guess. Hopefully, I just continue to keep being competitive every year and hopefully I’m in the (MVP) conversation’’ in the future.

Nobody talks about him since he is in okc. If he was in a a market it like new york, la, chicago, etc. He would probably be in talks for mvp and shit.

hes not in the mvp talks this season because we all expected that team to be this good. last season we didnt expect much from them, so he was in the running for mvp since they played so well.

It's been like this for a while for KD. People have put him second fiddle, and that's fine, even behind Greg Oden. He's gonna keep doing his thing.

Man, people haven't overlooked that dude. We all know what he's capable of, let alone done to this point.

Happens every year, one player breaks out to be a star and they get all the hype. KD last year, D-Rose this year, etc...

I think KD will get some more attention once the playoffs start. This was the year of the Heat, Griffin, and Drose. Its kind of good he is under the radar, I think it helps him out more than anything.
