The argument that LeBron shouldn't be MVP because he has Wade and Bosh on his team isn't doing it for me, since almost EVERYBODY said all year that the Heat outside of the Big Three suck ass and that they aren't even an elite team. Chicago has much more depth and the better coach.
It's LeBron or Dwight, but apparently people are fixated on Rose.

Knicks. Blow. Ass.

BUT, i think they would give Miami an interesting series still. and thats no slight on Miami, they just match up well with each other imo
We don't blow.. it takes times to adjust... we desperately need a big man. When Turiaf is tired there's no one else to play aside from the scrub Sheldon but Antoni wont even give him a chance.

Dwight should be MVP. No one else on that Magic starting line up is a good defender, but he makes them an elite defensive team and he puts up an efficient 23 ppg as well, rebounds with no on else on his team who can rebound.

People take Dwight for granted, which is why he won't win MVP. Everyone knows of him as a guy who gets around 20 PPG off of dunks/5 footers, and is always near or at the top in rebounds and blocks (and has won 2 straight DPOY - undeservingly, but I'll let that go)

As far as everyone is concerned, Dwight is having the same season he always does. While that isn't true, and he is actually scoring more and helping his team more than he ever has, people just won't accept that. Same reason why LeCon won't win (and he shouldn't). They have put up those numbers before - and are almost expected.

Rose, on the other hand, was looked at as a fast PG who can score 20 while being a poor shooter. This year, he is averaging 25 points per, and 8 assists - both career highs by a decent amount. Nobody expected to see the Bulls in 1st, and he is obviously a big reason why - and that certainly helps. Plus, both Boozer and Noah have missed time and still Chicago sits at #1.

Rose is the MVP not only because of what I said earlier about Dwight/LeCon having "expected" seasons, but because Rose actually deserves it.

Allen Iverson

And his FG% is down because he's putting up a SHITLOAD of three attempts this year.

His first two seasons combined he attempted only 132 3's. This season alone, he's shot 334 and significantly improved his 3 point FG%.

FG% is a highly inaccurate stat when measuring efficiency, and a players impact to a team. I believe Rose is 11th in the entire league in PER, and third among point guards.
AI was also putting up 30 PPG, was a great defender, and took a shitty team to a 56-26 record.

His FG% is down because he's shooting a bunch of 3's that he shouldn't be taking. That's essentially what you just told me. And if he's 11th in the league in PER, why is he MVP? Wouldn't the 10 players above him be more deserving?

And attempting to downplay shooting percentages is a bit ridiculous, measures how good of a shooter you are and how good of a decision-maker you are in terms of to shoot or not to shoot.

Calling AI a great defender is a bit absurd. I now know that you just look at stats and not how people play. Thank you, come again.

I just threw the PER stat up there because I remember you saying at one point that Rose is an inefficient player... which is quite absurd.

But yes, he is taking too many threes. I wish he'd attack a little more, but what can you do... he's an MVP candidate despite all those shots.

Also, Iverson was not a great defender. He wasn't even a good defensive player. Playing passing lanes aggressively, and playing no on-ball defense doesn't make you a good defender.

Apparently dating Kim Kardashian has made Kris Humphries a better basketball player.
This dude is really balling out of his mind right now lol.

Not really. He's finally not stuck behind an all-star caliber PF (Boozer, Dirk, Bosh).

GTFO. You take Lebron off of the Heat and they win atleast 45. You take Rose or Dwight off and they win 35 tops.
You clearly don't realize all of the injuries that the Bulls had this year and Rose still led them to the best record in the east.
Here is an interesting quote to think about that I stole from OTRbasketball.
when there are 3-4 legit MVP candidates (Rose, James, Dwight, Wade), all four are playing like superstars, you look at their teams. When one is teamed with ANOTHER, it's an automatic out unless that team wins 70+ games and sets records.
Rose is the MVP..deal with it.

you know, on paper the lakers arent really that much better than the bulls numbers wise. You know how everyone always says lakers cast is so much better blah blah blah.

Kobe: 25/5/5 45% shooting

Pau: 18/10/3
Odom: 14/9
Bynum: 11/9

Rose: 25/8/4 44% shooting

Booz: 18/9/2
Deng: 18/6/3
Noah: 12/11

and since everyone brings up games played. Bynum has played a few more games than Noah, but has started less than Noah
Deng and Rose have played full seasons. I'll give you Boozer I guess

the rest of the bulls team has been pretty healthy. on the lakers, Barnes missed a ton of time, and the rest is all a wash honestly

lakers are in the tougher conference as well

Im not saying Rose isnt MVP, im just saying if he's in the discussion, shouldnt Kobe?
maybe we should look beyond what we think is going on, and what actually is
i posted this the other day
amazing i dont hear Kobe's name more

true MVP is Dwight easily
I love Kobe and i just posted my argument for him, but I picked Rose as my preseason MVP so if he wins, I win

Westy is nasty

And I still think a healthy Portland could hang with any team in the league
