There is another bidder interested in the Pistons, according to owner Kim Davidson.

Currently, billionaire Tom Gores is trying to come to an agreement to purchase the franchise.

A new bidder would likely enter the process the moment Gores is no longer bargaining exclusively for the team, according to sources.

The extended, exclusive period for Gores to negotiate an agreement expired on Feb. 25. There has been no public announcement of another extension, although talks continue and optimism is expressed.
