Vikings considered trading for Orton

According to Charley Walters of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the Vikings considered trading for Denver quarterback Kyle Orton but have backed off. But it wasn't because of any progress made by Joe Webb, who insiders say is nowhere close to being an effective starter.

Glad to see the Joe Webb statement. Maybe all the Vikings fans will shut up here soon about he's the second coming.. The guy needs a ton of work.

If I was the vikings I would've done this. Broncos probably wanted to much.

they need something at qb, i would have went for him. but like infamous said, they probably wanted a lot for him.

um, hes better then what they got and probably what they could get. so..

As a vikings fan I agree that Orten is a better option then anything that we got. I, however, don't see us giving any of our draft picks to pick up a guy like Orten. We already don't have a 3rd rounder thanks to the boneheaded Moss trade. :suicide:

Yeah Orton is much better. Also with the 3rd rounder their is a C/G I was eyeballing that I wouldn't mind trading for.

How has it been Vikes ? We need you to be posting WAY more !
