Report: Packers looking to deal ILB Barnett

The Packers will reportedly dangle ILB Nick Barnett in trade talks before seriously entertaining his release.
Green Bay is counting on interest in Barnett due to a weak free agent market for inside and middle linebackers. Considering Barnett's $5.5 million base salary and the Packers' lack of leverage, the best they can hope for is a late-round pick.

I am going to pay attention to how these trade talks play out with Barnett. He's still a pretty solid player, and if teams want to swoop in and get a good player this could be a nice pick-up.

He's got some left in the tank. I'd pick him up if I needed some interior help on defense, if I was a team.

Signing AJ Hawk to that long of a deal was terrrribbble. IMO.

Hawk is bad, but Barnett isn't much better + hes coming off IR. I'll pass on a meh player.
