A lot of people have been saying this for years... But is it closed?

Peyton is coming back at 35 years old next season, the Colts appear to be losing Bob Sanders, what do you guys feel?

Losing Bob Sanders doesn't mean shit. Really they lost him for years due to injury.

What I would wish happen.

The NFL gets locked out for 5 more years so Manning can't play anymore.

With Jim Caldwell as the coach, then yes.

I don't think it will ever be closed as long as Peyton is there. Sure he didn't do well last season, but injuries really hurt them. With him getting older, it might be he starts fading, but I can honestly see him not fading at all for a while still.

people thought the same for NE after they lost to Baltimore

and then they lost 3 times the next year

this year was a setback for them, but they can still make the playoffs next year

+1 That's what I was thinking. As long as Peyton is there, the window will be open.

Naw. Honestly I think the Colts can make a run at the Super Bowl next year, assuming we have an NFL season. They need to fix some things, though.

Unless they add some crucial pieces, then yes. They're like #5 in the AFC right now.

Those are the 4 I would put ahead of them, yeah.
That's fine I can respect that. Imma get called a homer for this, but hey guess what? I don't give a fuck! Anyways I feel like Indy has a better team than New York, and Baltimore. Why's that? Well first of all the Colts were missing a ton of players last season, and had consistent injuries to key players all season. I think if they can stay a lot healthier they will be fine, yeah I'm aware the Jets have some injuries aswell, but not like the stretches the Colts had. The funny thing is throughout all of that, they could have been 14-2 had they finished games like in 2009. Reason being they couldn't do that was because Manning was really terrible for a few games, and they didn't have the firepower they had last year at times. That's just how I feel, I could be wrong, but w/e. Oh, and I'm sure people have said plenty of times the Colts window has closed. It will one day, but not yet.

not so sure they're better than the Ravens

Ravens D, while aging, is still better than the Colts'.

and BAL has a better OL, WR, and RB, and Flacco is on the rise, and could be easily a top 10 NFL QB by next seasons' end, if he isn't before then

I can see the Colts>Jets argument, but not really colts>ravens

They aren't the best team in the AFC, but they are in the Top 5, maybe even Top 3, but the window is still there.

The only thing that would give the Colts a chance to win another SB is major injuries to other teams in the AFC. Unlikely, so their window is definitely closed.

What about Green Bay making excuses heading into the Super Bowl?
