The Buffalo Sabres, who sit two points out of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with two games in hand, have added some scoring punch.

The club acquired forward Brad Boyes from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for a second round pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

More details to follow.

Ehh he hasn't really played well for the past 2 seasons. Maybe a change of pace is gonna help him.

I like this trade for the Sabres. This might be what they need. We'll just have to see.

As happy as I am to have Boyes gone, addition by subtraction btw, we could have gotten more.

Great start for Boyes with Buffalo so far. 4 points in 3 games.

I don't think it should have ever been in doubt, he just needed out of St. Louis. So far, it's looking like a great trade for Buffalo.

Yean, I guess, he always has had talent, but don't forget about the fact that there are a good number of 2nd round picks that become stars, we just have to wait to see if its good.

I think people too often focus on just the 2nd round picks that turned out, when in reality, it's a fairly low chance the player will be better than Boyes.

It all depends on what Boyes does I guess, at this point it appears Buffalo won by a mile.
