Celtics should have kept Perkins and built around him and Rondo. A lot easier to build around a PG and C than a PG and SF. Especially since they're both great defenders and Green isn't there yet.

they really dont have much longer though. it really could end after this season.

hed be a fool to take 6/30.
I don't think they will drop off that quickly. But they probably will be a little less good each year.

I'm not 100% on this, but I think Green is actually a really good defender.

Yeah, that's mainly why they went out and got him.

Someone on ESPN made a valid point. Heat and Knicks don't really have a center, they have the star talent at the 3 with LeBron and Melo.
So they went out and got a guy who can guard those 2 players.

I guess it makes a bit of sense, but I still don't think it was a good idea.

in 08 they had james posey who could play a little 4, move KG to the 5, and still guard Bron/Kobe

last year they missed that, but at least had Tony Allen who did a pretty good job defending wings last year like Kobe

this year they didnt have that. green could guard melo and lebron. and if they get to the finals, can matchup very well with Odom

it makes sense for this year. Kristic is feisty, Shaq and JO will be fine come playoff time

BUT, i dont know about long term. I dont think Green will stay. he's going to want a chance
i think the Clippers should take a look at him. he'd be perfect

Well it's looking better now because Perk can't stay healthy. Even though he isn't a center, Big Baby is still young, and he'll be there for a while. He's actually pretty underrated for how skilled he is.

It sucks because there aren't really too many real centers in the league any more for some reason.

Nenad Krstic: 6 offensive boards yesterday, 0 defensive rebounds LOL

Celts wanted Green for the long term to be Pierce's successor...

TBH, I'd rather give Green 10 mil a year than Perk because Green will eventually be part of the future for the Celtics.

I'm not the only one to change my opinion and I won't be the last. Cham has changed his opinions plenty of times and he's only being a hypocrite right now. Didn't know that because I changed my opinion that it makes me a homer... good logic.
