NFL.com - Donovan McNabb still wants a change of scenery, according to a league source.

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan met with McNabb's agent, Fletcher Smith, this week for 90 minutes.

Washington has made it clear over the past few months that they don't view McNabb as their starter heading into the 2011 season.

Shanahan's meeting with Smith was civil, according to the source, with Shanahan explaining to Smith why he made certain statements about McNabb during the season, and why he was ultimately benched.

"I thought it was a good initial conversation," Shanahan said at the NFL Scouting Combine

I'm with Washington here. I would rather have Rex Grossman or John Beck leading my team...

McNabb just isn't fitting there.

I think Mcnabb was just never a good fit with the Redskins, they are just ALWAYS such a big mess in everything they do. Its like they do it to themselves on purpose. He needs to go to a team like the 49ers or the Raiders. I think either west coast team would be great for him at this point in his career.

I feel sorry for McNabb. He was my favourite player when he was with Philly, but some of the fans gave him crap. As soon as the team starts losing, people start pointing fingers at either McNabb or Reid, saying it's their fault that the team's a mess. Um, if it weren't for these two guys, the Eagles wouldn't be the playoff contenders that they are today. I have a feeling that he'll end up in either San Fran or Minnesota.
