I don't have it out for the guy, but you guys make it sound like he's the second coming..

I will tell you any day, he's one of my favourite, if not favourite PURE cover guys. He's outstanding in coverage. 11 passes in two years? Fuck. That's insanity! But. I just don't see the toughness and run defense that everyone raves about.

No need to question my authority, sir. ;)
Nobody RAVES about it.

I don't know what you've seen however, the kid can play.

Yeah we're not raving about run support or toughness, but it's not a weak point.

People have said numerous times "he's a big, physical corner". Not really. He's not physical in any way shape or form in my eyes.

I just don't see it.

Of course it's a weakness.. lol. If you can't effectively play the run all the time, teams won't see you as some STUD corner.

He's going to be a good cover guy in the NFL.

Physical corner doesn't always mean hes a beast tackler. It means he could be good at jaming WRs at the line and ect. Mel Blount wasn't the best tackler either, but he was a hell of a Corner. Physical as HELL.

Nobody really criticizes the guy enough on his tackling, though. That's my issue.

I know what a physical corner is, ha.

Mel Blount was a God. They changed a fucking rule after him since he was bitching out receivers, and just chucking them around at the line.

What Kam said.
And no..his run game is not a weakness. He's not as bad as you think he is. He's average in that area. So no, it's not a weakness.

Titan, it's a weakness..... It really is clear, lol.

That's like you not acknowledging the fact that Colin is shaky as a passer. Dude. He's not developed as a passer. I could give a fuck less about all his records, achievements at Nevada, when you watch his mechanics, form, etc. he's not going to be a big-time QB in the NFL.

He's going to take too much work.

I couldn't give a fuck about mechanics. Look at Phil Rivers. He gets it done. And believe me, he has the arm strength and accuracy, heart and drive to be a very good QB. And I'm not saying right away, but he eventually will be.

And for Jimmy, his main job isn't to cover the run anyways. And really, he's average for a corner.

Quote from Kaep's Twitter:
"All I hear about is all of the physical abilities I have, but what most fail to realize is that the best part of my game is mental!!!"
...ahem Mooche..:p

And a quote from Dwan Edwards, the Bills D-End who said he doesn't want Newton:
'Kaepernick RT @homeslice5484 Which QB would you take in the draft if QB was the pick? Newton? Gabbert? Kaepernick? Mallet?"

Clearly, I'm not the only one high on him.

Well the dude made it to the NFL..
If we were going on that basis, no one here's opinion would matter.

I sure hope the kid is confident, if you aren't confident there is no point of showing up man.

But here's what really caught my attention. At the Sports Science testing, he reportedly had off the charts athleticism and spectacular reaction time and accuracy. In this very high tech environment, Kaepernick reportedly identified his target and threw the ball in the vicinity of 570 hundredths of a second with 90 percent accuracy.
Not that it really means interesting, but that is very impressive. Intelligent guy.

I hate sports science. It seems like they exaggerate their data so much.

"Suh hits a top speed of over 58 miles per hour in just under 2 seconds, stops and makes an immediate 720 degree turn in .00001 second, then leaps with the force of over 9000 jiggawatts and shakes hands with god himself"

Ryan Mallett can snort a coke line the size of an football field in 0.2 seconds, turn around... and throw the football with... no accuracy whatsoever in under 7 seconds.. I'm telling you guys, hes going to be like....If Matt Jones and Byron Leftwhich had a kid.
