I don't see us winning the chip yet either. I'm just glad that the team is finally somewhat relevant again. You should know by now how Knicks fans are. We don't expect the championship, but we love to have something to cheer about. Eventually we'll get the right piece ( hopefully ) to get a championship.

Other news, on ESPN they said "Deron just said he was happy 5 1/2 years in Utah. So I'm sure he'll find a way to be happy in New Jersey" So hopefully Deron does stay there. If we get CP3 and they get D12. Tri-State basketball will finally be important again. The Knicks-Nets feud would ACTUALLY mean something.
Nets will always be little brother. Sort of like the Clippers are to the Lakers.

I hear you on getting other pieces, but what will it matter if they never play defense?

If it means we get some defense, but keep on scoring well, I'm all for D'Antoni out. We have a bench loaded with potential that doesn't even get on the floor. Roger Mason is great from beyond the arc. Corey Brewer is pretty impressive. Shelden Williams is a good body to have down low playing D and rebounding. The list goes on. However, D'Antoni literally DOES only play 8 players ( look at the box score )

D'Antoni is a chode to me. He needs to go back to Europe and coach over there. If NYK wants to ever get out of hovering around .500% ball they will hire Avery Johnson.

Kidding. But they need to get PJ Carlesimo. Dude got such a bad wrap coaching Seattle-->OK City. They didn't even give him a chance before they ran him off. And ever since he took that job and left the Spurs our team defense hasn't been as good.

The problem is, Walsh and Dolan won't realize that he needs to go before it's too late. If we're above .500 they're gonna keep him, which sucks /=

I find it funny how 1 week you are bashing the Lakers saying how awful they are playing and everything, then the next they are a championship caliber team.

i never said they were championship caliber again. they suck ass and will go on a losing streak again soon
i just said they beat portland because kobe was unclutch as usual

i just dont believe in the mavs. they always choke in the playoffs. got to prove they can win
if the lakers play like they have the past 2 nights though, dallas has no shot at all

Too bad Murphy was being a douche otherwise Deron Williams would have had someone to pass to.

If the Pacers got Mayo for McRoberts and a first I'm gonna be so fucking pissed... I would've offered Taj and at least 2 firsts.

Haha. Mayo and D-Rose? Who knows if that could work? That could be interesting. But yeah, for McRoberts? That better be a good pick.

Deron Williams displayed a general contentment with the trade sending him to New Jersey and seemed to be in good spirits during his introductory press conference on Thursday.

But Williams was forthcoming about his thought processes over the last 24 hours.

He acknowledged that the trade sending him to the Nets came as a complete shock to him and took him time to adjust to.

"I ... would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about coming to a team that is 17-40," Williams said.

But Williams said that he accepted the deal after having time to think it over and talk to his wife.

Williams was asked if he would sign a contract extension to remain in New Jersey after next season, the final year of his deal if he does not exercise his player option.

Williams said he "can't give any assurances" that he will re-sign. He indicated that his decision will be impacted by the new collective bargaining agreement and the Nets' ability to improve the club.

Williams thinks the Nets still have a chance to make the playoffs this season.

Lol at the Nets making the playoffs. That's a long shot but good to see he has confidence. Will be interesting to see what type of players are put around D-Will.
