Yeah its real. And if I were Deron I would be piiiiiiiiiiissed. Lmao. The Nets have no immediate future now. They better hope they do some more work at the deadline or get lucky in free agency.
Boozer chose the Bulls over the Nets because Chicago has a superstar.

Melo chose the Knicks over the Nets because of STAT.

Need I go on...

Deron can't sign an extension till July, so we'll have to wait and see...

You're right, you're right. I didn't think about that before posting. Getting Deron, plus moving to Brooklyn could potentially lure some high profile players in now. There really aren't any big players this free agency though, are there?

Deron could still go to the Knicks, if not there is CP3...

Anyway, if someone could explain to me how Favors is needed by the Jazz I'd appreciate it. Millsap, Jefferson...

The 2012 class will have some big names.

Not much in this year's crop.

I don't know the contract situation on either, but they probably won't re-sign one of them when the time comes. Favors isn't ready right now anyway.

Millsap will probably demand big bucks when his contract is up. Favors has a high BBIQ and an outstanding work ethic, he'll be a very good player in a year or two.

Lmao. It will be interesting to see how this pans out. Does Deron buy into the Nets and sign an extension this summer? Or does he slap NJ in the face and leave for NY after next season?

agree completely.

Deron's a hell of a player. If you guys can play well enough around him and convince him to resign in the offseason, you got yourselves a hell of a player and a phenomenal playmaker.

Millsap will demand money... In the summer of 2013 I guess. They have a logjam at PF/C.

Deron Williams told me it was not his choice. He is stunned. Declined to do interview until he figures out what it all means.

Yep, he's not too happy about this, lol.

But I still think they can convince him that he can basically recruit another big star to Brooklyn in 2012.

Was just about to post that. It all depends on if he is willing to go through another losing season until the move to Brooklyn and the 2012 free agent class. I'm not sure he will want to after all of the winning seasons he had in Utah. But it would most likely be only one season. Who wouldn't want to play with D-Will?

exactly.

I also wonder how much Deron being in NJ will improve Brook Lopez's offensive production. It definitely won't go down especially once they get the chemistry down.

he's under contract through next season anyway, so whether he likes it or not he's gonna go through a rough year next year.

But if they can sign one decent veteran at SF or PF (not familiar with the Nets' roster so my bad if they already got a good young player at SF) this offseason they may make a playoff push and then I think during the season he'll resign and then start makin some phone calls to a few "buddies".

@chadfordinsider Jazz getting Nets 1st round pick this year as well as GS's 2012 1st round pick in deal
Wow. Two potential top 10 picks this year, Favors, and Harris for Williams.

EDIT:
The picks are the Nets’ unprotected pick this year and the Warriors pick next year (protected 1-7).

Nice picks, but from what I've heard it looks like the NBA Draft class this season isn't too impressive, correct?

If I'm correct, past the first 10 picks, the draft isn't too impressive. Can you imagine if they land Dwight Howard in 2012 like they want to, though? D Will + D Howard would be so legit.

I like this draft more than last year's depth wise.
