@Jay_Glazer - I'm reporting the Saints are terminating the contract of TE Jeremy Shockey.

Sean Payton on Shockey's release: “Jeremy played an important role in helping our team bring a Super Bowl championship to New Orleans. He contributed to the success of our offense, both as a pass-catcher and run blocker, and we’re appreciative of his efforts.”

Mickey Loomis on Shockey's release: “I’d like to thank Jeremy for the contributions he made to our team during his time in New Orleans. These decisions are never easy to make and we wish him the best in the future.”

Jimmy Graham has all the potential in the world.

I can't wait to see him breakout in the NFL. Last year was only the second year he's played football since high school. Dude is a freak athlete.

I like Shockey, but when you have the choice between a up and coming talent, and a guy who has 2 rings. Yes, he didn't play in one of them, but he was on the team. Lots of people don't like him because of his attitude, and yeah, his attitude can make him seem like a bit of a douchebag sometimes, but he has value. Not as much as he used to.

Word.

This guy is going to be a stud.. He reminds me a lot of Antonio Gates in the way he catches the football and makes plays. Hefty comparison, I know.

Fantasy Draft 2011 snag for myself. ;)

Honestly, I didn't think highly of Shock when we traded for him. I thought he was a douche, but boy was I wrong. He has his moments (but nothing like the NY media made him out to be) but he's a all around nice guy, great teammate, and fiery competitor. I hope he catches on somewhere.
