Free agent SS Bob Sanders is visiting the Jaguars Monday.
As a released player, Sanders is free to sign with any team until the day before the March 4 lockout. Despite being a huge injury risk, the former Defensive Player of the Year would fit nicely in a woeful Jacksonville secondary that badly needs a talent infusion. Their current starters at safety are journeymen Courtney Greene and Don Carey and they ranked 28th against the pass a year ago.
I think I just got a tingle in mah penis.

Easy big guy.. Ha. I knew you'd be on this.

This isn't really a shock that he's going to a team like the Jaguars. I could actually see him fitting nicely in with the Jags.

In reality, he's going to be 30 in a few days here, and he has probably seen his best football. That doesn't mean he can't be a nice fill in. I supported him 100 percent in Indy, and I always will, but I don't know with the wear and tear anymore..

Knew Colt fans would be in here shooting him down :p

I will say the Jags have one of the best training staffs in the league.

Not shooting him down. He's one of the main reasons back in the day coming out of Iowa I took a liking to the Colts. I wish him success anywhere he goes.. But if he does go to Jacksonville, we need to let him know he did the wrong thing. ;)

This signing if it happens really is going to be interesting to see how much cash he gets.

Its being reported we'll offer anywhere from 2-4 million in base salary. with an extra 2 mill in incentives if he stays healthy. Around 6/7 mill.

Also, Aaron Kampman said he talked to Bob Sanders (college teammate) and got him to visit here first. Also Bobs College HC is best friends with Gene Smith. I could see the signing really happening.

I'm predicting this already.

"Manning over the middle to Collie, hit by Sanders who are both injured and rolling on the ground after the play........... What's this, Anthony Gonzalez comes over and trips over the both of them and is now out for the year."

Story of my life.

More like

Manning trys to find Collie, but can't find him. It's kinda hard to hit a WR when hes already in a wheelchair.

Bobby Sanders left without a contract, he's going to Buffalo tomorrow.

Maybe Gene Smith felt he couldn't be able to stay healthy.

lol Still doesn't mean he won't sign with us.

Torry Holt did the same thing back in 2009. Came to town, had dinner with a few players, talked contracts.. left.. came back and accepted it later.

Ryan Clark met with the Dolphins owners, and he went back to Pittsburgh.

Many scenarios.

Ofcourse, I'm just saying though. It doesn't rule out he won't sign with the Jags.

Also, very doubtful he signs back with the Colts. He could of taken the release as a slap in the face.
