Deron "Will Follow Amar'e To Knicks"

Deron Williams began informing associates after last season that if Amar'e Stoudemire wound up in New York, he would follow him there as a free agent in 2012, according to sources.

If the Knicks are able to acquire Carmelo Anthony, whether it be via trade or as a free agent, it remains to be seen whether they'd be able to sign a superstar free agent like Williams, Chris Paul or Dwight Howard in 2012.

It's funny i was reading a tweet yesterday from some sports columnist or w/e out in LA and he said that Carmelo turned to CP and said "You know this is all your fault...". Lol.

Now I dont know much about CP and Deron's playing style -- which one is probably more suitable for Pick & Rolls? Just curious. because whichever one is more suitable for that style of play, is the one I'd want to see in NY.

Both of them could play that way just fine, but CP3 is more of a facilitator, Deron is more of a scorer, so CP3 is probably who you want if you get Melo, if you don't, Deron is who you should want.

oh okay -- Either one is an improvement over just about anybody else on the team already, so I'd be perfectly fine with either one, but since CP is more a facilitator then I'd want Chris Paul in NY instead.

deron is the better, and bigger player though. id rather have deron. but IF you guys get melo, too. that could be too much scoring but i still think deron would be better.

Ehhhh...if Deron Williams joins the Knicks, I think its real knock on him. I mean thats pretty much saying I give up on the Jazz, I can't turn them around...so yeah.

lol. his team wont spend money to build a team around him and if he joins a knick team that has amare and possibly melo, too... he would be the best team hes ever played on.


i wouldnt stay in utah and i dont think he will.

read a tweet yesterday, forget who it is and im too lazy to look through to find it -- but basically Deron was talking to Melo and Deron asked "Would you consider Utah?" and Melo answered "Would you consider Utah?!?" Haha. Speaks a lot about other players' views on the Jazz, especially without Sloan.
