NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock calls this year's defensive end class the best he can remember.
Mayock has eight defensive ends with first-round grades. He's particularly high on North Carolina's Robert Quinn and Wisconsin's J.J. Watt. "As this draft moves closer, you're going to see [Quinn] higher and higher," said Mayock. He labeled Watt a "monster" and the "prototype five technique" as the best 3-4 end in the draft.
Without a doubt. I love the praise he is giving Robert Quinn now. I was super high on Quinn even after the suspension and moving forward to the NFL for a long, long time. The only thing I can really say that I don't agree with Mayock on with the defensive ends is his love for Bowers. It's trendy, I guess, though.
