The Packers and coach Mike McCarthy are reportedly "putting the finishing touches" on a three-extension that will keep him in Green Bay through 2015.
The new deal is expected to average roughly $5 million per season, pushing McCarthy into the top-10 highest-paid coaches in the NFL. The 47-year-old has posted a 53-34 record (.609) over five years while bringing the Lombardi Trophy back to Green Bay. As one of the brightest offensive minds in the game, McCarthy's extension is well earned.
You knew this was just a matter of time. The Packers faithful will definitely love this move bring back Mike for a few more years in Green Bay.

Definitely well earned. Winning well over half the games in a span of 5 years, and now a championship. Expectations will be higher now, but they will continue to win. Maybe even add another championship.

I am not buying into the dynasty talks.. at all. They are going to lose some pieces, and guys like Cullen Jenkins are a big part of their success behind the scenes.

I'm not either. Heck no lol. Their a division rival. I don't want to see them continue to win. I see them making the playoffs next year, but no repeat. They have a nice team put together, and some of their starters were gone for most of the season, which means guys stepped up, but no way would I call them a dynasty or anything. Just a good team.
