Not sure why he would leave, he loves it in New York, won a World Series here, and is already one of the highest paid players in the game.
I don't get that, if you won a World Series there, and get paid a ton of money, then what's the problem? It's just weird.

if he has a really really great year, i could see him opt out to try and get more years/money
as for leaving the yanks though, probably not

there's a reason the opt out clause was put in the contract. because there was always a chance he wouldnt like NY
he's appears fine now, but why the hell would he say anything bad being there? he doesnt want himself or his family to go through hell

That was if he didn't like in in New York, considering he likes it here, I don't see the problem.

relevance to this thread

None.
So was your shot as Yankees fans

There's no problem. I'm just saying that it was a factor before and there's no reason it wouldn't be a factor again. Just because he did end up liking it in New York doesn't mean he completely threw away the idea of playing closer to home and his family.

...in a thread about the yankees how is it irrelevant?

and it was a fact......douchebag.
A thread about a Yankees player, not their fans, makes that irrelevant.

And this is still coming from a fat fuck Eagles fan...

No west coast team even has the money to spend on him. Angels were the only possibility and they just took on Vernon Wells fat contract and their roation isn't the problem with their team so they're more likely to go for a bat than an arm.

Dodgers divorce shit going on, Pads are cheap and already have young pitchers, A's are cheap and have young pitching, same with the Giants...

There just aren't any places out there on the west coast or with deeper pockets to lure him away.

I could see the Mets making a push for him if he decides to hit the free agent market. They have approximately 40 million coming off the books in contracts. The Mets dont really have a legitimate #2 and havent had one since the Pedro/Glavine days and I think Sandy is all about pitching and playing to your advantages, which in this case would be our big ballpark. Now CC wanting to play for the Mets is a whole different story.

Someone is going to invest in the team and whoever that is will be filthy rich. They might be broke or they might not be, we dont know until we see what they do this upcoming offseason. Theyve got a lot of money to spend and if they dont spend it then yes they are broke. But if what our Gm said is true, the lawsuit shouldnt affect the baseball operations.
