LeBron James fired back at a fan during Friday's game against the Pistons at the Palace of Auburn Hills to defend his mother.

After hearing a fan sitting behind the Heat's bench mention his mother's name, James walked toward the scorer's table and addressed the man.

"I don't care what you say to me. I don't give a [expletive] what you say," James said. "But don't be disrespectful."

The exchange came during a break in action with 1.7 seconds left in the first quarter and was picked up by television microphones.

I'm not defending the guy but LBJ is a professional athlete and people are going to say shit to him. Especially if it's gossip or something else they've heard on the internet. And I'm not saying I don't sympathize with LBJ (though that's tough to do nowadays) and wouldn't react the same way.
