The Knicks are interested. But according to the Houston Chronicle, the Rockets aren’t looking to part with Brooks yet:

According to two individuals with knowledge of the Rockets’ thinking, the Rockets are not mulling a deal because so far there is not one to consider, and the Rockets are not looking to dump Brooks. Not even close.

He could be moved by the deadline, which has been true for most of the Rockets roster since Yao Ming started limping Nov. 10, long before Brooks stalked off the floor on Saturday. The Rockets, however, are not in talks to deal him and really don’t want to.

Dumping him now would be incredibly short-sighted for a team looking to make moves much, much more significant than thinning the roster.
I'm not even sure why the Knicks would want Brooks lol

His numbers have fallen off because he ain't getting his minutes and when he goes out there he's trying too hard to get his playtime back. But the only reason I could see them having interest is because they'd be moving Felton in a Melo deal, but that wouldn't make any sense either because the Nuggets don't need/want another PG.

No we need a backup PG

No way we'd use Felton in a deal to get Melo

Not gonna happen unless its for A-Dolph.

Depth? Aaron Brooks ain't depth. He's an all star caliber player imo

I've read Buike straight up for him, and then the Rockets get 80% of Buike's contract off the books because of some insurance thing. I'd take Brooks if it didn't cost anything big, he'd be an ok backup PG. He does have the Nate Robinson shoot first PG mentality, but whatever.

He would be 6th man of the year type depth.

No way he's starting over Felton, Dub C or Fields.

isnt Tony Douglas basically the same guy?
Brooks is better, but the Knicks need a real backup. not Brooks

Toney Douglas doesnt have a 3pt shot. Plays better defense though.

Thats true, but you know D'Antoni likes to overload his roster with scorers

Douglas isn't big enough to play SG too well imo. He can play some SG, but not as his primary position.

I'm still wondering what are the Rockets going to do with him, rejecting Knicks offer could be because they are testing around, who offers more?... It's sad he got injured early on the season, from a MIP last year and he's even doing shitty on his latest games played. I dont know but can see his frustration over all. I like him, I think he can step up right away once he gets fully recover and focus on helping a team to win.

Brooks is a guy I've followed since he came into the league. I remember seeing him in the College 3-point competition and losing to Katie Gearlds of Purdue. I could see him being a guy they'd get for depth. Even though he's a starter worthy player. Like a 6th man type.

Are most of you really suggesting that Raymond Felton > Aaron Brooks? Give me a fucking break. The only reason Brooks isn't starting again is because Kyle Lowry is one of the most underrated players in the league. He's a phenomenal overall basketball player. Great passer, great defense, great court awareness, pushes the break really well, and has developed a nice jump shot.

Kyle Lowry will be known by all before too long.

lmao Felton is putting up 17/9 with 2 steals... The guy has been one of the best PGs in the league this season, and you're trying to say that Brooks (who had one good season, on a team where he was allowed to shoot the ball on every possession) is better? Give me a fucking break.

Raymond's first year as a relevant NBA PG. Yeah. I know. Brooks, when on form, is better.

You're saying Felton is having his first good year... And what is there to say about Brooks? He had one decent scoring year on a shitty team with no other options?
