Kendrick Perkins has turned down an extension offer of $30 million over four years from the Celtics.

Perkins, represented by agent Arn Tellem, has opted to wait until he is an unrestricted free agent.

i guarantee if they offered this before getting Shaq in the offseason, he might have accepted this

Perkins knows that Shaq is now starting in Boston, so he's kinda mad.

If he leaves, let him go to OKC tho. He would be great there

Wouldn't be smart for the Celtics to let one of their few young players leave.

The best the heat would offer is the full MLE. If he turned down 7.5M a year and wanted more, what makes you think he will go to the Heat?

Kendrick Perkins told CSNNE.com on Monday that Boston's extension offer made to him was for four years around $22 million.

An earlier report by the Boston Herald cited two unnamed sources that indicated Perkins turned down a contract extension that was for four years and worth slightly less than $30 million.

"That wasn't it. They offered me four years, but it was closer to like $22 million," Perkins said. "You talking four years, $30 million! Shoot, that's different. That's a big difference."

lol being paid $2 mill more is such a huge difference for someone who's making over $5 mil a year!

actually it wasn't 30M but 23M, that's why he rejected and off course he wants to test the free agency and see if he can get a team change. I think he's also looking for 40M type of deal.
