C Kendrick Perkins finally played this year, and did pretty well off the bench in limited time, with 7 points and 6 boards in 17 minutes of play.

When Shaq comes back, and Perk is 95% or 100% healthy, Boston will beat up on teams without bigs (MIAMI). Plus, on Christmas Day vs Orlando, Shaq gave all Howard could through 3 quarters. Then Shaq fouled out, and Howard picked it up. Now, if Shaq goes out, Perk is right there to pick it up.

With Baby more rested now (will play less time), and maybe JO comin back, the Celtics have a very strong depth in their frontcourt. Add a quick pass first PG, a sharpshooter, and an all out scorer, and I see Boston furthering themselves from the East. Boston has proved they could beat Miami, they can hold their own against Orlando. If Rondo is 100% healthy, they can probably beat the Bulls too, who in my opinion, will give the Celtics the hardest matchup out of EVERYONE IN THE NBA.

You're acting like they're going to stay healthy, at their age. Do you realize how unlikely this is? Shaq and Jermaine's shoes aren't even broke in yet. How do you expect them to be around come playoff time?

If Boston stays healthy (unlikely), there's no question that it's their title to lose.

Lakers barely beat Boston, and that was because we had no bigs

KG, BB, KP, Shaq, JO is much better than KG, BB, Sheed

Obviously LAL can match up well... but i think CHI gives Boston their toughest matchup

celtics have advantages, lakers have advantages

baby still cant guard pau
kg cant guard pau
if bynum is healthy, lakers are loads better. he played last year on 1 leg
odom is a problem for them too

it's all Bynum though. if he sucks, they put Perk or Shaq on Pau, he's toast
if Bynum is healthy, they have to honor him and put a big on him leaving pau to operate

i think they match up better with the Celtics
chicago is tough, but Booz cant do shit against those guys

the lakers had like a +23 rebounding last NBA Finals v Boston, because perk was dead and that put 6'8" BB at C. With KG (who was injured; not the the degree of perk, but was not nearly as healthy as the other 2 bigs of LA), and BB, no shit the Lakers won

yet they barely won that series

I think today was a perfect example of why your point is flawed Mexi

Bynum and Gasol did shit in the 4th quarter, and KG and shaq and perk and BB were killing them. There was a reason to why Phil took them out.

Perk and Shaq will give teams nightmares in the playoffs. having a really good physical defender coming off the bench to replace a really good physical defender is scary for defenses.

Like you're always like "oh if Dwight fouls out, they're gonna suck inside" Well guess what? If shaq fouls out, we have perkins, who is known to hold dwight howard extremely well. It also means shaq doesnt have to let up in how he plays his game. its not like he plays less agressive now because he has 4 fouls. If he fouls out, he fouls out

I hope and pray it's a Celtics/Spurs Finals.

Pop has reserved Duncan so much and tries to reserve TP and Manu as much as he can and come time for the Finals the Celts will be burned out.

lol did you watch the Finals? Bynum was hobbling playing on 1 damn leg
i still the lakers can beat this boston team. it's another 7 game series if they meet

pau was softer than he's ever been today. he's been awful the past few weeks
he wasnt this bad in the finals last year.

a healthy bynum really changes everything and almost negates the celtics size. honestly, you're making the celtics size seem like it's so far ahead of the lakers. it's really not that special, or as special as you make it seem. it'll hurt a team like orlando and miami more

celtics are lacking that lockdown kobe defender on the bench. posey and tony allen
kobe went off for 40 today, on a good percentage. if another player showed up, lakers win today. and boston played nearly perfect

anyways, im not saying the lakers would win the series anyways. i only posted in here to refute your claim that chicago is the tougher matchup. IMO the Celtics toughest matchup is the lakers. the lakers toughest matchup is the Heat and Thunder

When Kobe goes off for 40, that's bad. He had 0 assists, your team was afraid to shoot because Kobe was on, probably tells you something about Kobe's personality.

you made your point to why LAL is the hardest to beat for Boston, and i'll tell you why Boston is harder to beat than Miami.

The reason LAL won last year in the finals is because the celtics had no center, and bynum squashed them. IMO Davis>Anthony.
If Bynum can beat up Davis, he can eat Anthony alive

The C's won yest. bc Ray hit EVERYTHING over a 6'1" PG. He wouldnt do as well if kobe guarded him. But, as good of a defender fisher is, rondo would blow by him. but chalmers/arroyo? no. Kobe can guard wade, and artest can hold lebron

the Celtics destoyed Miami, and so can the Lakers

Celtics destroyed Miami? You beat us by 8 in the first matchup and 5 the second time around, hardly destroying.

boston is the better team obviously
for the lakers though, miami is the tougher matchup.
same with OKC. IMO, the only team in the west OKC could beat without HCA is the lakers. (not couting the pretenders like NOH, Denver, Utah if they're playing like shit)
SA, Dallas would win. Utah would win with HCA is they're playing well. lakers would be a tossup, and i might lean OKC honestly

kobe's D has slipped. he's just slower now
artest cant defend either. Miami would maul the lakers, especially if Haslem is back
i honestly think those 2 (wade/bron) can beat the lakers.
